Road Testing The Easy Pro-AM50

I have to admit I am something of a fan of gadgets. And the RV industry is always coming up with more and more products that I am told that I just can't live without. So when the AM50-Pro levelling system arrived at Can-Am I was both interested and wary at the same time. I mean, my old carpenter's level, inherited from my dear ol' dad seems to be doing a fine job. I lay it on the floor in two directions and run back and forth to the tow vehicle until it's level or I get sick of it and declare, "close enough"! 

But now this spiffy electronic gadget offers to get me level from the comfort of my drivers seat. 

So I pulled a few strings and borrowed one for our summer adventures in our Airstream, heading south to Tennessee and east to PEI. It was super easy to set up and I have not had to recharge it all season. There is a sensor inside the trailer and the receiver sits on the dash of the vehicle. I just turn it on and roll up on my Anderson Levelling Blocks until the readout says zero degrees roll. I chock the wheels and and then use the power jack to adjust the height of the trailer until the AM50-Pro reads zero degrees pitch. We used it in several campgrounds in PEI, Nova Scotia, Ohio and Tennessee, and it worked flawlessly. So when I got back to work at Can-Am I immediately purchased that cool new device and I am recommending it whole-heartedly to our customers.
